In the following Terms and Conditions, the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre shall be referred to as the Centre or the NSTC.
All Surgical Trainees from CT1/ST1 – ST8 are from the Health Education North East Region and shall be referred to as Trainees.
No recordings/photos can be taken in NSTC without the explicit consent of the NSTC. All original recordings, photographs and edited computer files remain the property of the NSTC. This includes video and sound recordings, photographic and digital files. Trainees shall be given permission to access appropriate level recordings following a vetting procedure which will be time limited. This is to be used for personal educational use only. Trainees are forbidden from uploading, sharing or recording the videos with any other person or by using any other electronic social media platforms.
Trainees are provided with permission for temporary access of the electronic recordings, but this may be withdrawn or changed by the NSTC at any time.
You must treat all identification codes, passwords and other security information as confidential. If we think you have failed to keep confidentiality, we are allowed to disable any security information (including your passwords and codes).
Human Tissue Authority Codes of Practice
For the public display sector, bodies of the deceased, body parts or other human specimens should be treated with respect in an environment that is safe and secure; that the dignity of the deceased should be maintained at all times whilst they are being stored or are on display; and that their display is in line with the consent given. Anonymity of subjects should be preserved at all times.
